DDU-GKY is uniquely focused on rural youth between the ages of 15 and 35 years from poor families. As a part of the Skill India campaign, it plays an instrumental role in supporting the social and economic programs of the government like the Make In India, Digital India, Smart Cities and Start-Up India, Stand-Up India campaigns.. Of these, the bottom of the pyramid youth from poor families with no or marginal employment . DDU-GKY is uniquely placed in the skill training eco-system of the country. we are the partnering agency  to implement the scheme at Perambalur District,150 Trainee Trained in Automobile and IT sector with the Support of TNWDC ltd.

SJSRY- Training Program

The Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) was launched on 01.12.1997 after subsuming the earlier three schemes for urban poverty alleviation, namely Nehru Rozgar Yojana (NRY), Urban Basic Services for the Poor (UBSP), and Prime Minister’s Integrated Urban Poverty Eradication Programme (PMIUPEP). The key objective of the Scheme was to provide gainful employment to the urban unemployed or underemployed through the setting up of self-employment ventures or provision of wage employment. it also provides supporting skill development and training programmes to enable the urban poor have access to employment opportunities opened up by the market or undertake self-employment; and the target population under SJSRY is the urban poor – those living below the poverty line, as defined by the Planning Commission from time to time.NEO had covered 1235 Candidates in rural area of Tamilnadu .
